Who are we ?

Have you ever wondered, "Who are we?" Here's everything you need to know.

We are a group of professionals with diverse backgrounds who one day decided to embark on a new adventure, both professional and personal.

To create our own business, to dedicate ourselves to what we are passionate about, what fulfills us and inspires us.

To do this, we had to leave our previous jobs, in which we had already invested many years of experience.

We had dedicated a lot of energy to it, thousands of hours, but armed with solid experience, in-depth learning, and an excellent reputation… we took the plunge!

We founded a company entirely dedicated to what you see here:

Expert restoration of all types of buttons, consoles and interior plastics for vehicles.

For example, push buttons, touch switches and pressure switches.

Each of us devotes ourselves fully to one of our hobbies, which we have now integrated into our profession, and we are proud of it.

And to be able to transmit and capture it day after day for all of you, with all our love and exclusive dedication.

The story of button restoration

We have perfectly combined our greatest passions to make it our profession.

From a young age, we were fascinated by the roar of the engines, the oil and the smell of gasoline in the workshop.

We learned to ride motorcycles at a very young age, to fall and to get back up.

We all worked together and always took the time, during breaks, to eat together.

Gathering around a sandwich or a picnic, chatting, relaxing and talking about Formula 1 or MotoGP, for example.

One day, one of our colleagues announced that he wanted to restore the interior of one of his favorite cars.

And the one he cared about the most, his Renault 5 Turbo.

The interior was visibly worn by time.

The buttons were in a terrible state, worn out, and their function could no longer be distinguished.

Without any polishing product, the control panels were sticky, the paint had disappeared, and all the switches were visibly damaged.

After much online research and thanks to everyone's contribution, we undertook the complete restoration of the interior.

Including the center console with all its buttons, the plastic trim on both sides, the front panel, etc.

Restoring a car's interior is no easy task, far from it: The Chronicle

Restoration work requires patience, effort, excellent quality materials, precision machinery, and dedicated professionals. Francisco Gómez

But… we were not entirely convinced, because the result was not completely satisfactory.

The work we completed clearly failed to meet our expectations, nor did it reflect the considerable number of hours we had invested in its restoration.
Consequently, feeling somewhat frustrated and not very proud of our achievements, we embarked on our own research and development.

This is how we laid the foundations of who we are today.

We started to study, test and experiment to find the best way to achieve the best results.

We purchased different types of paints, plasticizers, binders, and two-component inks.

Coatings, drying retardants, accelerators, adhesives with varied chemical compositions and countless tests…

To do this, we collected a whole series of used buttons from landfills so that we could test them one by one…

Our basic formulas, until we found the optimal solution, the one that all our friends wanted and which was ideal.

We have never given up on our efforts to improve the process adapted to each type of plastic: drying time, temperatures, humidity, etc.

As well as precise and specific mixtures, and the appropriate method to achieve the best results: optimal durability and shine.
In hindsight, this task seems long and tedious at times, but we persevered despite numerous setbacks.

Until, little by little, we succeeded, achieving excellent results for every type of plastic used in the automotive industry.

I remember our Christmas dinner that year…

And then, carried away by the festive spirit, we agreed to meet again after Epiphany to discuss the project "seriously".

The first restored vehicle was the ultimate test, and the result was excellent!

The first thing we discussed was taking a friend's car and restoring it as if it were a customer's – a real baptism of fire.

Despite the rudimentary tools and the limited number of materials available (tested beforehand, of course),
we achieved an impeccable job.

The restoration was completed in a relatively short time.

Even if it was then a completely handcrafted job…

We were delighted to see this success, and especially the great satisfaction of our first customer… (this friend who had seen nothing of the process and who had simply entrusted us with his car for a few days so that we could redo the interior).

All of this took place in the workshop of a friend, Jesús, who lent us space and to whom we will always be grateful.

The rest was just a matter of time, everyone's efforts, money, and passion for our hobby.

Then, over time, other people joined the team.

The rest of our team, with the same enthusiasm and motivation…

We are doing everything we can to continue on the path we set out from the start: excellent service and impeccable quality.

Thank you all for helping us realize this dream which, as we have said, has become our life and our profession.

Thank you also for your trust in Restauramos Botones, for your recommendations and for your contribution to our continuous improvement.
